Face Lift, Mini-Face Lift,
Lower Face Lift
and Neck Lift
Treatment of the neck and jowls is one of the most powerful tools a plastic surgeon has to combat the signs of aging. The key is to do this in a manner that looks natural and isn't too tight and does not look operated on. There are many methods and ways to do a face lift or mini face lift, but all employ the same principles of creating a smooth contour and enhancing the jaws and cheeks to create a more youthful appearance.

Face Lift Procedure
Dr. Hazen will assess you and collaborate with you to design the right operation to meet your goals of facial rejuvenation. Sometimes it can be a relatively simple procedure combined with a skin rejuvenation program to create long-lasting results. A typical facelift is performed in an Ambulatory Surgery Center under MAC anesthesia (heavy sedation) and takes up to 5 hours. Often this procedure can be combined with other facial procedures, fillers and fat to replace facial volume and enhance contours, and laser and other types of resurfacing as well as PRP to enhance healing.
Who is a Candidate for a Face Lift ?
Candidates for a facelift must be generally healthy and non-smokers. It is hard to say what age is best to undergo a facelift, but some plastic surgeons advocate for sooner and younger ages! Having realistic expectations and goals is paramount.
Post Surgery Recovery
After facelift surgery, we provide you with specific aftercare instructions, along with prescription pain medication. Expect some bruising and swelling during the first 48 hours or longer. You need a friend or family member to help you during this initial stage of recovery.
Light activity can be resumed within a few days, but most patients require one to two weeks off from work and other normal activities. You should take an entire month off from rigorous exercise and heavy lifting. Stitches are normally removed after a week, but prolonged swelling may obscure your final results for several weeks.

Dr. Hazen describes your individual recovery process. Now, you have the option to take your pre-operative photos (saves a visit). Dr. Hazen and you may explore any issues that are blocking or interfering with the surgery actually happening, including anxieties around it. Then your surgery plan is made with a timeline. If the procedure is not covered by insurance, you receive an estimated cost for the surgery and anesthesia.
