Practice Administrator

As the Practice Administrator, Erica loves that she can blend her passion for health and wellness in a practice that embraces both! She will assist you with the planning, scheduling, and financial arrangements pertaining to your care. Erica always strives for a standard of excellence. Taking great pleasure in sharing a patient’s journey, she looks forward to witnessing their excitement at the end of the transformation. 


Erica began working as Dr. Hazen’s Receptionist in 2008 and went on to receive her degree at NYU in Healthcare Administration. Additionally, Erica oversees daily operations to ensure the practice is operating at the highest level possible. She is devoted to supporting the team to allow the practice to continually grow. 


In her time away from the office, Erica loves spending time with her 7-year-old son, photography, and traveling the world.


Barbara McPartland

Practice Manager

Barbara has been with Alexes Hazen, MD Plastic Surgery and Wellness since its inception in 2018 and has the distinction of being the first member of Dr. Hazen’s staff.  Barbara’s role as Practice Manager includes a variety of responsibilities, from financial to administrative, as well as the hiring and training of staff. She is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the office and strongly believes in hands-on team management. Her main focus is and has always been patient satisfaction.  

Barbara remains current in all relevant aspects of the office to guarantee our practice consistently meets the highest standards of healthcare.


Barbara had the privilege of starting and building Dr. Hazen’s first private practice, NYU Plastic Surgery Associates, from 2003 to 2013. With over 25 years of experience in the field of plastic surgery, her knowledge of procedures, products, and services is an invaluable resource to our staff members and patients. 

Barbara’s hiring and training skills create a great team environment, which allows us to consistently provide the highest level of patient care and service.


Conrad Tirinnanzi

Administrative Assistant

As the Administrative Assistant, Conrad aids in the planning, and scheduling of appointments pertaining to the surgical scheduling process. He finds great pleasure in building a connection with our patients as they journey toward surgery.


Conrad joined our team at the beginning of 2021 and currently serves as both an on-site as well as remote facilitator of Dr. Hazen’s appointments. 


In his free time, Conrad enjoys dancing, exercising and drinking green juice.


Emma Caffrey

Front Desk Medical Receptionist

As the Front Desk Medical Receptionist, Emma is the first point of contact for many patients. Emma strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for each patient from the first phone call. She helps new patients through the process of making appointments and any general questions a patient may have. 


Emma is a recent Penn State graduate where she earned a degree in healthcare administration. She loves that she gets to apply what she has learned in school to real life experiences. Emma is new to the healthcare field and is looking forward to all the knowledge and experience she will gain working with Dr. Hazen and her team.


In her free time, Emma likes to spend time with her friends and family. She has recently moved to NYC and has enjoyed getting to explore her neighborhood. In her downtime during the pandemic, Emma has gotten back into reading. Her favorite books to read are mysteries.


Daryl Smolens

Physician Assistant

Daryl joined Alexes Hazen, MD Plastic Surgery and Wellness in 2018.  Daryl and Dr. Hazen have known each other and worked together for many years prior to joining the practice.  


Daryl received a Bachelor’s of Science from New York University,  as well as graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College’s Physician Assistant program.  


One of Daryl’s most notable accomplishments was becoming the first Physician Assistant at the Manhattan Eye Ear and Throat Hospital, running the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Department for over two decades.


Daryl provides pre-operative education for patients, which includes detailed background and information on what to expect leading up to and including the day of surgery, assists Dr. Hazen with surgery, and provides post-operative follow-up care.


Daryl enjoys the one-on-one contact with her patients. She prides herself on helping them feel at ease, and both confident and comfortable with their results inside and out.


When not working, Daryl loves Pilates, the beach and spending time with her family.
