LIPOMA REMOVAL

Sometimes our bodies make little lumps and bumps and if they grow or become unsightly we may want them removed.  A lipoma is a fatty tumor and it is one of the most common "bumps" your body can make.  Lipomas can grow anywhere on the body and can become quite large.  Dr. Hazen can remove them with the tiniest incision leaving the smallest possible scar.

Dr. Hazen will perform this procedure in her New York City office if small, and the operating room if larger.  Usually, sedation is required for larger ones, and recovery is generally a week.  The lipoma will be sent for biopsy to make sure it is only "fat". and nothing to worry about.

As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Hazen is highly qualified to perform this procedure. Even for the smallest of surgeries, you want to feel confident that you are with a plastic surgeon who is an expert at reconstructive procedures and will give you the highest quality care available.
